Timothy Meehan was born in St. Louis MO. He received his BA in Cinematography from Columbia College in Chicago, and another degree from the Art Institute of Los Angeles.
After twelve years as a Grip in the film industry he moved back to St. Louis, and began concentrating on his paintings. The experience with film lighting plays an intrinsic role in his paintings.
Tim has shown frequently in galleries in St. Louis, and has shown in Los Angeles, and Chicago. Tim is a member of the Kind Artists Collective of St. Louis.
Tim is known for his unique style which incorporates layered textures, and colored glazes. The image displayed is a close-up of this from the piece entitled "Leaf", part of the Happy Vision series.
